As back to school season begins, SFA is again excited about the new school year. We want nothing more than for every student to have a fair chance and the support they need to succeed. We understand that the possibility of a quality education prepares our young people for the future that, and in many ways, holds the keys to the rest of their lives.

San Francisco Achievers continues to make strides in closing the access gap! Our mission ensures our scholars make it to and through college, and into employment. We support our participants in every step of their academic journey, setting them on a path towards life-long career success.

We were thrilled to welcome the Class of 2021 Achievers at our annual awards ceremony last month. Twenty-five young African American men received scholarships, enabling them to pursue careers in such fields as aerospace engineering,

2020-21 was a year of extremes. The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we engage with one another. Educational institutions, local businesses and agencies across the city were forced to adopt COVID-19 prevention measures to slow rates of infection. Physical distancing became the norm, and our worlds went virtual.
