SFA aims to inspire and empower African-American young men in the San Francisco Unified School District to succeed in college and postsecondary institutions. Our Culture of Continuation framework spans up to a nine-year cycle; offering participants the guidance and support structures they need to make it through both their high school and college journeys. We work with participants and family members to remove many of the “hidden” academic barriers African-American boys often face. Our programs support students and help them gain the skills needed to compete in today’s competitive academic environments and knowledge-based economy.
